Head of Primary
Mme Perrin – Head of the ECOLE INTERNATIONAL LÉONARD DE VINCI.
The school is considered as a Ecole Pilote by the Education Nationale and so its French teachers have been selected for their capacities to speak either English or German and work in a multinational environment.
Our highly-qualified English native-speaker teachers are rigorously selected for their teaching qualifications and educational experience in their home countries. The fee-paying Anglophone Section tailors the curriculum to the individual needs of the child and offers them an English-medium and International education in parallel with the fully recognised national French curriculum.
The Primary teachers are Mrs Waddington, Mrs Vercoutre, Mrs Rangan, Miss Jamieson and Miss Vaughan. Mrs Waddington is Primary Coordinator for Upper Primary (CE2, CM1, CM2). Mrs Vercoutre is Primary Coordinator for Lower Primary (CP, CE1).
For children who have little or no previous knowledge of French and need extra help learning the language the primary school has a dedicated CLIN (Classe d’Initiation) teacher to support them. CLIN teaching and learning activities are designed specifically to help children who don’t speak French integrate successfully into the French school system. The CLIN teacher has previous experience living and teaching in a number of different countries.
The following reading lists were put together by our English teachers as suggested summer reading or further reading at home. They are by no means obligatory but give a guide according to each age group.
