About

BOARD OF ELECTED PARENTS
The Board of Elected Parents is the governing body of the Association des Parents d’Elèves de la Section Anglophone de Fontainebleau. The aim of the Association is to organise, manage and develop the Anglophone Section of the Léonard de Vinci primary school, the Collège International middle school and the Lycée François Premier high school, enabling pupils of French or foreign nationality to pursue complementary studies in the English language.

Each year an important item on the agenda of the Association’s AGM (Annual General Meeting), normally held in November, is the election of four new Board members, each of whom will serve a two-year term.

The Board’s role is to:

Define the strategy of the Association
Manage the finances of the Association
Nominate the Director of the Section
Approve the nominations of those accountable to the Director
Approve the educational and administrative direction of the Director
Close the accounts to be submitted to the AGM

The Board also provides a support role to enable members of the Association to get involved in Board-related projects as well as to organize anglophone social and fundraising activities.

Serving on the Board requires time, energy and commitment but Board members can relish in the fact that they play an active and important role in ensuring the ongoing success of the Section within the context of the French education system and across the three international schools.
